Villa Zbar

The family house, located in the Western part of Lausanne, proposes a contemporary language into a neighborhood of conventional houses, where the pitched roof and the front roofs are imposed. The form arises as a folded bar: the facades and the composition of the plan reflect this "deformation".

The treatment of the angle is characterized by a dialogue of concave/convex: by the courtyard the window folds by the angle, on the East façade the angle is marked by a column.

Projected to seek the surrounding space, the front roofs are extended beyond necessary to minimize the visual impact of the roof.
