Concurso para el Banco Industrial
The project is part of the Innovation Park Master Plan, which recommends the construction of buildings with open perimeters, consisting of bases topped by low, compact towers, which help to shape an open and articulated urban space.
The building houses a bank branch on the ground floor and mezzanine level, in direct contact with the public space, and rises upwards, bringing together levels that communicate with each other through voids and staggered levels that allow natural light to reach the heart of the deep floor plates, while creating convivial spaces that encourage collaborative work, combined with atriums and green terraces offering generous views.
In this sequence, the transition between the lower levels, available for future occupation, and the upper levels, intended to reinforce the company's identity and working methods, is expressed by an intermediate level of common spaces that asserts itself towards the outside as a volumetric articulation of the building.
The buildings are delimited by an envelope composed of blind parapets housing technical installations and transparent strips, which form a mixed system accommodating sun protection elements, strongly characterised by their colour, texture and reflection, and adjustable according to different orientations and the sun's path, integrating energy consumption regulation and ensuring the well-being and comfort of occupants by passive means.
The overall effect produced by the repetition and variation of these elements associates the building with a form of kinetic art, while giving it a unique identity that interacts with the new urban landscape.
