Chemin du Liseron

The M2 project plans to cover the metro line from Avenue de Cour to Ouchy and create a garden on the surface. As part of this project, the Ouchy block is the final point of this walkway. Covering the metro line inside the block provides an opportunity to design an intervention that enhances this space. The project owner and the various owners are therefore establishing a building right with the aim of constructing a small residential building there. The principle of the intervention is in line with the ‘green corridor’ landscaping project. The residential building, designed as a building in a park, comprises six duplex flats running east-west. These flats are designed as two-storey terraced houses. Access is from the public promenade through small private gardens that form a threshold on the west façade. In this entrance sequence, there is also an outdoor storage area. As the building is located on the metro line, it does not have any basement cellars. Each unit also benefits from an outdoor space on the east side of the plot. The suburban identity is reinforced by the wooden cladding on the façade.
