Chemin de Combes

With regulations limiting buildings to three storeys plus attic space, the building houses four flats, one per floor, above a semi-basement level containing parking, cellars and technical rooms.

The vertical circulation core is located on the north façade, freeing up the other three façades for living spaces. The living area extends across the east and south façades, bordered by generous continuous balconies, which create a contrast with the other, more closed façades.

The subtle volumetric treatment, the articulation of the floors with the roof, the play on the openings, and the limited number of façade materials – terracotta bricks and aluminium – give the building its unity and contemporary character.
