Find the interview of Antoine Barc (associate director at RDR architectes) and the Geneva architect Pierre-Alain Dupraz on their collaboration within the ODC group for the site of the Orée in Crissier.

"Our approach is to accept that the Orée will live as a neighborhood and not as a succession of buildings that must be strongly recognized in relation to each other. We are doing everything possible to ensure that people can feel good in the housing we plan for them." - Antoine Barc

"The L'Orée project is characterized by a development based on the principle of an urban grid that underpins great architectural diversity and allows great flexibility in the programming of constructions (in terms of time or use). The size of this grid is ideal for pedestrians who will be able to access a large network of public spaces, both mineral (squares) and green (park). The district will have a green terrace facing the Alps and the Jura. The environmental elements have been treated with great care.

The mix of programs is distributed throughout the site according to the grid of public spaces, thus locating the commercial premises along the Place de L'Orée, the offices to the east along the Route de Bois-Genoud, and the general interest activities and local services on the first floors of the residential buildings in the densest areas. This distribution of the mix allows the public spaces of the project to be inhabited by making them spaces dedicated to sharing, at the same time drivers and theaters of a wide range of uses: walking, consumption, play, expression, exchange, rest, access."
